The Battle Rekindled

So the lull is over, years have passed, seasons have been completed, premierships won and lost, families and waistlines expanded, and still they don't learn. As has been witnessed in recent months the exodus has commenced. Like all great pilgrimages of the years this one will bring movement, change tears and joy. Fights will ensue, mettles tested, character tried, and ultimately battles will be won. You can see the writing on the wall rugby league fans. Yes that squiggly stuff is writing. If you could read it you would know it says "The end is nigh". Greats are switching. Lines are blurred. (So much so that Graham Yallop or whatever his name is has got a new set of specks). The time is coming where youngsters in NSW and QLD no longer grow up chasing a roundish flat plastic thing, but rather spend their Saturday arvos kicking the pigskin around the yards and streets, and experiencing the true joy of the best game in the world.

The fight recommences.
